چکیده

Cancer treatment of the head and neck, effectiveness hyperfractionated radiation therapy (HFRT) has been revealed in recent randomized trials, mainly their local control. As hypopharynx is situated near larynx, to achieve greater laryngeal preservation, control hypopharyngeal cancers should be achieved; it very important enhance patient’s quality life. In this study, results were compared with conventional (CFRT) results. Patients squamous cell cancer (Stage II IVA); submitted (n = 34) or conventionally fractionated 22) radiotherapy, chemotherapy, between July 2018 January 2020. each patient received 2 Gy per fraction a total dose 66 at over 6.3 weeks, along concurrent cisplatin (30 mg/m 2) weekly. 1.2 two fractions day six hours apart 72 6 The endpoints tumor response toxicities. : Complete rate HFRT group was 85.29% that CFRT 68.18%. most prevalent acute toxicities skin, mucosal dysphagia related. skin toxicity significantly higher (54.55%) than (44.12%). This study suggests for locally advanced cancers, simultaneous chemotherapy can standard method care.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to clarify the efficacy and toxicity of hyperfractionated radiation therapy (RT) for patients with nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC). METHODS Twenty-two patients with NPC treated at our hospital between April 1994 and December 2002 were the subjects of this study. They received hyperfractionated RT with a fraction size of 1.2 Gy, with a median tumor dose of 72...
